The HGC unit can handle the most difficult types of gases or combinations of gases. Variable inlet pressures and volumes do not affect the HGC's performance. Likewise, the unit is very flexible on the discharge pressures. It is a forgiving system that does not require over building of horsepower for the worst case scenarios. The core element of the hydraulic system is that it has inherent standby horsepower when the well needs it or when the residue lines see wide swings in pressures. The system adjusts automatically to the horsepower requirements. The following chart sums up the HGC's ability to track the ongoing and ever changing real time requirements of a producing gas well:
The real world of gas compression involves handling liquids, both water and natural gas heavy ends. In addition phase changing gases, i.e. CO2, H2S, and Nitrogen present tremendous problems for all conventional compressors. The HGC is tolerant to all liquids and phase changing elements of a gas stream.
